Glyphs are a symbolic language from The Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson. Each of the glyphs are associated with a specific Herald, gemstone, essence, body focus, soulcasting property, and divine attribute.
Shash is associated with the Herald Shalash'Elin, the Herald of Blood and the daughter of the Herald Jezrien, the Stormfather. The gemstone is Garnet, essence is Blood, body focus Hair, soulcasting properties of Blood and Non-Oil Liquids, and divine attributes of Creative and Honest. Shash is believed to be associated with the Lightweavers, an order of the Knights Radiant who used the Surgebindings Illumination and Transformation. While a slave, Kaladin was branded with the Shash glyph on his forehead labeling him as dangerous.
